Create a free gathering

The whole flow, start to published, in about two minutes.

Creating a free gathering takes about two minutes and doesn't require setting up payments, an organization, or anything else first.

The flow

  1. Tap Create.
  2. Give it a name, a date, and a time.
  3. Set the location — search for a venue or drop a pin.
  4. Add a cover photo.
  5. Choose who can see it (see Event visibility).
  6. Publish.

That's a live event page with a shareable link.

Cover photos

The cover is the single biggest lever on whether someone taps your event in the feed. Aim for something legible at thumbnail size — text-heavy flyers designed for print tend to turn to mush. If you skip it, we style the page for you, but a real photo of the thing you're doing beats a styled placeholder.

Picking up where you left off

You don't have to finish in one go. The form saves itself as you type, and when you come back you'll be offered your unfinished gathering to resume.

Capacity

Set a capacity if space is genuinely limited. When you hit it, new guests are offered a waitlist rather than a flat "full" message, so you keep the demand signal instead of losing it.

After you publish

  • Share the link — it unfurls properly in messages and on social.
  • Your followers see it in their feed automatically.
  • Guests who RSVP get reminders as the date approaches; you don't have to chase them.
