Get a refund for a ticket
Request a refund from Tickets. What you get back depends on whether the event was cancelled, moved, or is going ahead.
Refunds are requested from the ticket itself, and most are decided by the event's own refund settings.
Requesting one
- Sign in and open Tickets. Bought as a guest? Sign in with the email you used at checkout.
- Find the ticket and tap Request Refund.
- Pick a reason, add any details, and submit.
If the request qualifies for automatic approval it's approved straight away. Otherwise it goes to the organizer, who has up to 5 business days to respond. If you hear nothing by then, email support@liventix.tech.
When you can ask
- Refund window. Requests close a set time before the event starts — 24 hours unless the organizer chose a different cutoff.
- Final sale. Some events don't accept refund requests at all, except when the event is cancelled or moved (below).
- Checked-in tickets can't be refunded through the app.
What you get back
| Situation | Refunded |
|---|---|
| Organizer cancelled the event | Everything — automatically, no request needed |
| Event moved by 24 hours or more | Everything, if you ask within 14 days of the change |
| Any other approved refund | The ticket price, plus any service fee over $5 |
PayPal's processing fee is only returned when the event was cancelled or moved.
When the event moves
If an event with paid tickets is moved by 24 hours or more, you have 14 days from the change to get a full refund — even if the event is final sale or the refund window has closed. Requests in that window are approved automatically unless a ticket on the order has already been scanned.
How long it takes
Approved refunds go back to the way you paid, usually within 5–10 business days. Your bank or card can take a few more days to show it.
The full rules are in the Refund Policy.
Common questions
The event was cancelled. Do I need to do anything?
No. When an organizer cancels, every paid order is refunded automatically and in full — ticket price, service fee, and processing fee — to the way you paid.
Why did I get back less than I paid?
For an ordinary refund (the event is still going ahead), you get the ticket price back. Liventix keeps up to $5 of its service fee, and PayPal does not return its processing fee. If the event was cancelled or moved by 24 hours or more, you get everything back.
Should I open a dispute with my bank or PayPal instead?
Please request the refund in the app or email support@liventix.tech first. A dispute takes much longer to settle, and opening one without contacting us first can lead to restrictions on your account.
