Block people

What blocking does, what it does not do, and how to undo it.

Blocking someone

Find one of their posts, open the menu on it, and choose Block User.

What blocking does

  • Their posts stop appearing in your home feed
  • They can't message you
  • Any follow in either direction is removed

What blocking doesn't do

  • It doesn't hide profiles. Profiles on Liventix are public — blocking stops the contact, not the existence.
  • It doesn't cover every surface. Posts on an event's own page can still be visible to both of you — if you're both going to the same public event, you'll both still see the event page.
  • It doesn't notify them. There's no "you have been blocked" message.
  • It isn't a report. If someone is breaking the rules, block them and email support@liventix.tech — blocking protects you; reporting is what gets it dealt with.

Unblocking

There's no self-serve unblock screen yet. If you've blocked someone and want to undo it, email support@liventix.tech from your account email and we'll clear it. Unblocking doesn't restore the follows that were removed — you'd both need to follow again.
